PLAY: KGB's Bar Red Room (NY) Fall/Winter

Established in 2013, The Red Room at KGB is a prohibition era, deco designed speak easy, one floor upstairs from the legendary KGB Bar in the East Village, that features live music and entertainment. 

We're in search of Sonicbids best talent to play our intimate space. This well-appointed, multi-faceted venue continues to be of historical importance as the former home of both Lucky Luciano’s Palm Casino speakeasy and Emma Goldman’s Secret Society of Anarchists.  

We're currently looking for acts to play the fall/winter calendar. This is an amazing opportunity to get active in a super progressive music scene and start building a fan base and relationships with one of the most sought out venues in NYC.

• This is an opportunity for local, regional and nationally touring artists.
• We're looking for bands of all genres that play original music. We love Rock, Burlesque, Cabaret, Swing, Jazz, Folk, Acoustic, Blues, Spoken Word and Soul acts, but we're open to other genres if it's good music and it fits the aesthetic of establishment. 
• Bands must be actively playing shows 
• Bands must be willing to heavily promote the show if chosen to play
• Bands are able to sell merch on-site
• All acts applying must meet the criteria that we look for, lyrics, stage presence, style and artists must have a fanbase
• Acts must have a solid online presence 

• The Red Room at KGB compensates musicians with a percentage of bar sales.

• The venue also provides 3 mics and stands, 2 DI boxes, an 8 channel mixer with 3 speakers and a monitor for performers who would like to use our gear.
• We have a small stage equipped with a restored 1911 Mason and Hamlin piano 
• Acts get drink tickets
