Summary
The Sound Music Festival in Seattle, Washington is a weekend long annual music celebration designed to foster independent talent through educating artists about music promotion while gaining exposure to fans and industry executives. The event will take place Oct. 13-15, 2005 in some of the premier venues in historic Pioneer Square. There will be 200-250 performances throughout the festival, with 5 slots reserved for Sonicbids members.
Please note: This festival focuses on local Seattle talent. A very limited number of bands outside of greater Seattle will be accepted. Past nationals include The Misfits, Mushroomhead, Ben Jelen, Kevin Martin, Sponge, Drowning Pool, Brides of Destruction and more. Past panelists include Matt Pinfield, Columbia Records, Jeff Blue, RCA, Scott Austin, Maverick, Mike Faley, Metal Blade, Cathy Bauer, Lookout Records, Kirk Sommers, William Morris Agency, Craig Newman, APA and many others.
Genres accepted include rock, metal, blues, acoustic, punk, emo. Sorry no hip hop or electronic this year.
