The Source Hip Hop Tour focuses on providing exposure for local hip hop artists. MC’s, hip hop, R&B, and urban artists are encouraged to submit for a chance to be included on the tour. An article will be written for each tour location and posted on highlighting these selected individuals. An Unsigned Hype Segment of the event will focus on providing exposure for the hottest MC's.

One Sonicbids artist will have the registration fee waived for the tour. Additional selected artists will be featured on and receive an article in Down Magazine. The top artist from each market will perform in New York in November to showcase their talent in front of A&R reps from the top labels in the industry.

See the dates and locations listed above for markets. Updates will appear as further locations are confirmed.

The Source is a U.S., monthly full-color magazine covering hip-hop music, politics, and culture. The magazine was founded as a newsletter in 1988 by college students David Mays and Jon Shecter distributed from their dorm room, and is now owned by Black Enterprise Incorporated. The current president of the publication is Jeremy Miller. From humble beginnings, The Source has grown into one of the largest and most influential hip-hop publications in the United States. It has even grown to the point of being called The Bible of Hip-Hop.
