Summary

The Sportsmen has been proclaimed the "Honkiest Tonkiest Beer Joint in Town" by none other than Dale Watson. The tavern, lcoated in Buffalo, NY has been in operation for over 100 years and the owner, Dwane Hall, is a life long musician who's fronted his band of over 30 years (The Stone Country Band).

With our understanding of current music, the Sportsmen's is a road warrior favorite. We book Honky Tonk, Americana, Roots, Alt-Country and other similar types of acoustic and country music genres. Artists are required to perform between 9:30 - 12:30, 7:30 - 10:30 on Sundays. We provide a house PA, light system, and a nice stage. You are not required to pay a "House Sound" man.

In the winter of 2006, we started the "Private Party Series" booking well know national acts. Rex Hobart, Dale Watson, The Wilders, Dave Alvin & the Guilty Men, Wanda Jackson, Deke Dickerson, Jason Ringenberg, Billy Joe Shaver , Jim Lauderdale, Robbie Fulks, Rosie Flores, Roger Wallace, Bill Kirchen, Jason Plumb, Red Stick Ramblers, Moot Davis & The Cool Deal featuring Pete Anderson, Chris Scruggs, Big Leg Emma, Dallas Wayne have all played the Sportsmen's Tavern.

Up and coming groups are offered a modest guarantee, while national acts can expect a fair rate.
