The Summer Rebellion

Play in the Big Apple courtesy of Digitone Records! The Summer Rebellion is the ultimate outdoor urban festival experience at Thompkins Square Park in the east village of NYC on August 21, 2006. In its 3rd year, this annual 1-day music blowout features 1 stage offering live music all day in front of over 10,000 music, and festival fans. The Summer Rebellion has reserved at least two performance slots for artists who submit online through Sonicbids! Selected artists will be compensated for their performances at a rate to be determined upon selection and booking.



The festival celebrates diversity in music and art. All genres are accepted - including everything from alternative, reggae, blues, zydeco, rock n' roll, pop and more. Last year's Summer Rebellion performers included David Peel, and the lower east side, Soap, Red Metric, The Lobster Quadrille, Leftover Crack, the Soviettes, and the Strap-Ons.



This year's Summer Rebellion will continue to provide exciting and affordable entertainment for all ages and musical tastes, plus a variety of food, information, political speakers, and other activities. The Summer Rebellion is a summer destination.
