The Vatikan

The Vatikan, located in Toronto, has a capacity of 300. We are not a bar, we are a venue and do not count on walk-ins to provide an audience for our live acts. If you're an unknown indie band, chances are you will be an opening act with not much of an audience unless you promote the hell out of your show. With that said, that’s the only way to get on the better shows SO... work hard on your first shows with us!



Check out the event schedule at http://www.machineclothing.ca/SHOWVATIKAN.htm - and based on that schedule please include dates that you would like to play when you submit. Please note: All shows are 19+ so all band members must be 19+ to play at the Vatikan.



Selected artists are compensated based on draw. Bands get drink tickets that are $1 off the cost of a drink.



Genres accepted include: Metal, Hard Rock, Alternative, Punk, Hard Core and all heavy music...



A couple of notes for once you are booked:



Load in time for the club is 7:00pm until 8:00pm and we would like to see you be on time, our shows are always on time, they are that way because we strictly follow our timelines. If you aren't loaded in during those times you will not be sound checking before the show, if you know you don't want or need a sound check then you can load in anytime up until 1 hour prior to your set time. There is no back line so you should bring all cabs/heads you plan on playing through.



The show lineup is always posted on the events section of this website... this will include who you are playing with if you weren't already aware, your set time, length of set, door times, cost etc. Do not email for info that is already on the website, we get so much its hard to keep up!
