The Walnut Room (Denver, CO) (Mar-Jun '09)

The Walnut Room, located in Denver, Colorado opened three years ago to national praise. Heralded as a state of the art concert environment, and voted the Best Place to Toon In by Westword Magazine, The Walnut Room is more like a recording studio with seats and a bar than your standard live music venue. Venue capacity is around 200.



Artists will be compensated for their performances. The Walnut Room books music 3-4 nights a week, with anywhere from 2-5 artists on the bill. Please note that they generally book three months in advance, so plan your submission accordingly. They accept any genres with a strong lean toward rock, indie, acoustic, latin, country, world, or scratch DJs.



An in-house engineer and digital console are provided, and a backline can be provided if advance notice is given.



The venue is in an industrial part of town, part residential, and also hosts Indie Film screenings. A draw or a publicist is a big plus. The Walnut Room has had such notable acts as: Soul Asylum, Adema, Gin Blossoms, Ari Hest, John Mayall, Tinsley Ellis, the Nadas, Will Hoge & Gavin Degraw.
