A & R Tip Sheet

The AMG National A & R Tip Sheet is a publication that brings the best, unsigned talent in all genres to the attention of 1,950 A & R reps in the U.S. In case you are not familiar with Tip Sheets, a Tip Sheet is like a mini-newsletter that brings the hottest, unsigned talent to the attention of the A & R community. A & R reps will use a tip-sheet from a reputable source because it is a convenient way to scout. Instead of spending hours on a website weeding out talent, the rep can check out the best talent on one page.



The AMG National A & R Tip Sheet is one of the most successful Yip-Sheets in the industry. Approximately 500 A & R representatives open the Tip Sheet on the very first day it goes out. Music Industry executives from the following major labels consistently read our Tip Sheet:

Even the artists that do not receive a request for their complete demo package get enormous industry exposure. For example, one band on our roster used our Tip Sheet twice. The first time, they did not receive a request for their demo, but they were viewed by hundreds of A & R reps. The second time they used our Tip-Sheet, they received requests from Def Jam, Columbia and Epic Records!

This is an ongoing opportunity. All auditions are listened to carefully. We are looking for the best of the best. Ultimately, we think the most important part of your audition is your music. Artists who have great songs are encouraged to apply as the radio stream gets your song heard instantly by the music industry. In addition to your great music, we are looking for those artists who tour, have great reviews, or an interesting bio. We are looking for accomplishments that will set you apart from other artists.

After the Tip-Sheet is sent, the results are posted on our website. If an A & R rep contacts us for your demo - this is what we call a "direct solicitation." AlphaMusicGroup will contact you immediately so you or your manager can send your demo to the A & R rep.
