Summary
Domenic Troiano, one of Canada's most highly regarded guitarists of all time, played an integral role in The Mandala, Bush, The James Gang and The Guess Who. He scored music extensively for film and television and is a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. The Domenic Troiano Guitar Awards are named in honor of this extraordinary Canadian guitar legend.
Three $5,000 prizes will be awarded to Canadian guitarists in the categories of Jazz, Multi-Genre (Rock, Blues, R&B, Country, etc.) and Classical, with trophies designed by Istvan Fujkin.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 28, 2014.
The cash prizes and trophies will be presented with performances by the award winners at the first annual Domenic Troiano Guitar Awards Dinner.
SELECTION PROCESS:
A committee of established Canadian guitarists will review the submissions and select the awards winner. Please submit a live video of you playing for 3-4 minutes.
