The 12th Truck Festival takes place at Hill Farm, Steventon on July 25 & 26, 2009. TRUCK is about discovering your new favourite band, and rediscovering those resident eccentrics on the fringes, whilst chewing a burger from the Rotary Club or an ice cream from the Vicar, before buying a few pints from those cross-dressing bar staff!

Over 100 artists perform at the festival on 6 stages. Selected artists will receive a minimum of £50 for travel, although more compensation is available, depending on the artist.

Most genres will be considered - alternative rock / electronic / folk / country / world / rock / shoegaze / rave etc - although an independent mindset is what's most important. Support artists from around the Oxford area are preferred but all artists will be considered. Truck is looking to program 1 artist each day to open the show. That means there are 12 slots available.

Last year's performers include The Lemonheads, These New Puritans, Camera Obscura, Ian Maclagan (Small Faces) and the Bump Band, Noah & the Whale, Emmy the Great, The Coal Porters and The Television Personalities.
