Summary

Union College in New York is looking for acts for Winter and Spring 2009. UProgram, Union College's main programming board consisting of 10 students, is responsible for booking at least one program per weekend. Students run the club with the advisement of the Office of Student Activities.

Genres accepted include: Comedy, novelty/Variety, Dance troupes, and other non-musical acts. Compensation is negotiable, and is inclusive of travel. Lodging will be provided at a local, reputable hotel chain. No separate travel costs are paid.

Programs typically begin no earlier than 10 p.m., depending on the duration/type of event. Types of programs/performers that UProgram has brought to campus in the past include: comedians, dance troupes, game shows, build/create-your-own novelties, hypnotists, magicians, variety performers, and spoken word.

UProgram books several venues on campus. The most commonly used is Old Chapel (capacity 250) - a large space that can be set up for a variety of acts. It also has a quality sound system. If a larger stage is needed, Memorial Chapel is typically used. Its max capacity is approximately 900 people and has built-in, pew-like seating.

Union College is a private, non-religiously affiliated, liberal arts college in Schenectady, NY. It is approximately 2.5 hours from NYC and a short 20 minute ride from the Albany International Airport. Union is a member of NACA.
