PLAY: WEMF Presents at Union Tavern in Somerville, MA (Fall/Winter)

Union Tavern is a Laid-back, cash-only neighborhood joint offering beers on tap & a steady lineup of indie rock shows. Formally known as PA's Lounge, the original venue's name derives from its original popularity as a club frequented by Portuguese immigrants (the letters P and A standing for Portuguese-American). P.A.'s then became a Portuguese seafood restaurant before re-opening as a live music venue and bar in the fall of 2002. WEMF is looking for local, regional acts to play at Union Tavern this fall/winter. 

WEMF Radio is an independent, online radio station and media outlet focused on providing listeners with a personalized, interactive listening experience. The station creates an awareness of local Boston interests, views, events, artists, business owners and other prominent figures that help expand the community and enrich the Boston music scene.

The WEMF station is located in Central Square, Cambridge, renowned as the cultural epicenter of the local music community. The station runs events and shows in the area on a weekly The EMF Building is an iconic landmark that became the inspiration for the station name, WEMF Radio. WEMF hosts shows The Middle East Upstairs Downstairs, TT the Bear's, Great Scott, Church, Club Bohemia, Union Tavern, The Tavern at the End of the World & more.

• Looking for Indie, Rock, Alternative, Acoustic, Singer-Songwriters, Punk, Soul and Blues bands
• Local Boston bands
• Original music preferred 
• Bands will be chosen based on their ability to draw and their local popularity
•  No strong walk-in crowd, bands expected to promote
  
• Bands must be willing to do & share an on-air promotion through a WEMF interview

• Sets are 40-45 mins
• Backline provided
• Acts split 90% of the door after venue expenses have been met.
• Booking Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays
• No instrument backline provided
• Sound engineer/door person as well as PA, mics/stands/cable are provided.
• Bands keep 100% of merch sales
• cover at the door ($5-10)

• All bands on the night split pay equally after expenses so please be a positive draw to the night
