Unity Music Festival 2009

u*ni*ty - noun - 1. The state of being united or joined as a whole. 2.
Harmony or agreement between people or groups. 3. The state of forming a complete and pleasing whole.

The Unity Music Festival was created to promote peace, hope and acceptance through great music, great surroundings, inspiring arts and crafts, and tantalizing natural foods. Unity Music Festival 2009 will be again be enjoyed at the Farm of Peace located in the beautiful rolling foothills and valleys of the Appalachian Mountains, 90 minutes from Baltimore, MD and Washington DC.

The Unity Music Festival will feature exceptional musical acts from a variety of genres performing on two different stages. The festival is dedicated to providing a music and art selection that is suitable for adults and children while promoting the principles of unity in our social, political, and spiritual environments. Performers of any genre are encouraged to submit provided that you attract a wide audience of socially, spiritually, and ecologically conscious individuals.

Two slots are reserved for Sonicbids artists. There is a main stage, a family stage and a speaker tent. They are seeking 13-17 artists and speakers for Unity 2009. Artists will be compensated based on experience and fan base.

2008 Performers included: David Wilcox, The Unity Reggae Band, Sonia of Disappear Fear, El-Prezidino, Billy Jonas, the Rob Dickenson Band, Camela Widad Kraemer to name a few. The Unity Music Festival is presented by the Farm of Peace in conjunction with Al-Ubudiyya Productions and the generous support of our sponsors and fabulous volunteers.
