Sonicbids Listen Vol. 2 Comp. CD (proceeds to benefit hurricane relief)

Along with the rest of the world, the Sonicbids staff has been witnessing the devastation and destruction that Hurricane Katrina has caused. Even closer to home, the hurricane has inflicted a big blow on one of the world’s true music capitals and has affected many, many musicians – many of them members of our close knit Sonicbids community.



In an effort to raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, Sonicbids will be putting together a compilation CD to be distributed to over 2,000 active promoters on Sonicbids as well as from Sonicbids booths at music conferences such as South By Southwest, MIDEM, Canadian Music Week, North By Northeast and Folk Alliance; and festivals such as Bumbershoot and Summerfest.



In the past, Sonicbids has made compilation CDs as a “thank you” to our most active members, and we normally do not charge any submission or participation fees; however, for this relief CD, 100% of your submission fee will be donated and split evenly to these three charities: The Red Cross (www.redcross.org); the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic Emergency Fund (wwoz.org/clinic/); and the Music Maker Foundation (www.musicmaker.org). The last two are musician-specific charities that will help artists who have been displaced. The CD is a GREAT chance to feature your music and, most importantly, a GREAT way to contribute. The CD will feature 15-18 Sonicbids artists.



Please note: Because Sonicbids will not share your personal information with the charities listed above, these organizations are unable to further acknowledge your donation. You will receive an auto-confirmation email from Sonicbids that will serve as the only acknowledgement of your donation. The donation will also appear on your credit card statement as a transaction with Sonicbids Corp.
