V4 Music Song Contest

The Vision 4 Music Song Contest boasts a $10,000.00 cash prize for one Grand Prize winner, plus prizes and honorable mentions for 40 finalists!! The contest is designed to help amateur and professional songwriters on their road to becoming successful, and making a stake in the world of music. All Genres accepted.

The major difference between the Vision 4 Music Song Contests and all the others is that Music 4 Vision has the ability to PITCH great songs to major artists, regardless of whether or not you win the contest.

V4 Music is located in the heart of Nashville's Music Row, where the world's best music is being generated. V4 Music is looking for great music and songs so they can act as "agent" on your behalf. When a MAJOR artist needs a specific sounding song, V4M can get in the door and keep you informed.

Judges of the V4 Team have had either top charting songs, signed major artists, or have been judges on major competitions (see below). All judges have the integrity, experience and ear to pick songs with potential and bring them to the attention of major A&R decision makers.

The first 100 artist entries through Sonicbids get a written critique of their song and get 50% off any one-time purchase in our V4 Music Store. All contestants will receive a free 30-day NIMBIT Trial website where you can sell your mp3s and CDs.

In addition to receiving the recognition and publicity from V4 Music, all finalists will have their songs forwarded to record labels, publishers, producers, managers, radio promoters and other influential individuals in the industry for review.

Top 40 Finalists

The popular Vision 4 Music “Listeners Choice Award” is also giving honorable mentions to the top 40 finalists. Beginning December 15th, 2006, the Top 40 Finalists in the V4 Song Contest will be posted on the V4 site. Music fans can go to the site through December 30th, 2006, listen to the finalists’ demos and vote for their favorite song. The song with the most audience votes will be the honorary V4 Music Listeners Choice Award Winner. We are expecting over 100,000 votes.



The $10,000 V4 Music Song Contest is sponsored and judged by veteran music publishers, A&R executives, major producers, and industry professionals listed below. These judges and industry reps are listed as a courtesy to you. Please DO NOT contact them directly.

JUDGES:



• Chris Keaton, a 25 year veteran song catalog publisher who has cuts with Trisha Yearwood, George Strait, former partner with KMA management (KISS, Billy Idol), and featured publisher at Songwriters Guild of America.
  
• Steve Rice, Christian Music veteran Executive Director with Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing.
  
• Stephen Housden, lead guitarist of Little River Band for many years, and co-host of V4's "From The Top Of The Fret" to be released in 2007.
  
• Mark Carman , Founder, MCM Nashville (Had 19 top 40 charting songs)
  
• Chris Smith, previous judge for NSAI, Starsearch, LA songwriters Association, Northern California Songwriters Association. Previous VP at Reunion Records. Partly responsible for signing Michael W. Smith, and many notable artists.

V4 Music industry executives, professional songwriters, and association board members judge songs based on artistic merit, originality, market potential, lyrics, melody and composition. Performance and production will not be evaluated, but must be presented in a way to attract the attention and respect of industry figures who will be listening. Songwriters may enter as many songs as they like!
