Summary

Valparaiso University is a private university in Northwest Indiana looking for performers to perform during the Spring Semester 2008. A member of NACA, VU has several performance opportunities for local, regional, and national acoustic/coffeehouse style and rock/alternative/pop acts. They typically book 7-9 artists per semester.



  • "Union Board Presents..."- VU holds concerts 1-2 times a month throughout the year and primarily hosts them in the Great Hall (seats about 250 with tables and 325 without tables). Average attendance ranges from 35-120, generally. Artists will be compensated for their performance with an amount to be negotiated. Lodging can be provided if requested by the artist.



  • The Spring Concert- This large concert is held in the Athletics-Recreation Center (ARC) , which has a capacity of roughly 5,500. This concert features 3 bands: 2 openers, 1 headliner. Rock/alternative/pop acts are desired.



    Past performers include Something Corporate, Guster, Ben Folds, and Augustana among others.
