The Opportunity
Live Music Showcase (LMS) gives up-and-coming musicians a platform for great exposure. LMS holds events in more than 30 cities across the United States and Canada and was built to give performers a chance to gain promotional, performance, networking, and experience with music industry professionals. The event includes a red carpet step and repeat, professional photography, videography, emcees, and record label representatives are in attendance.
The Railway Club is one of Vancouver's longest continually operating stand-alone music venues, occupying the same premises uninterrupted since 1931 and hosting music events since 1981. Over the years, the 'Rail' has distinguished itself with some of the most innovative music in town, with tons of local bands and some big touring acts, too.

Los Lobos, The Rheostatics, The Tragically Hip, Blue Rodeo, Hard Rock Miners
The Band
- Independent artists welcome
- Open to a wide variety of genres
The Gig
Details:
- 20-25 minute sets
- Sound equipment provided
- Artists are asked to sell 10-20 pre-sale tickets
- The band that wins the overall showcase will be awarded with meeting with a major record label rep in Los Angeles, CA; the winner is announced at the end of the showcase
