Imagine a venue capable of hosting everything from traditional weddings, baroque chamber music recitals, Shakespearian drama, modern dance performances, psychedelic folk festivals and cutting-edge new media trade shows; all within the space of a few days.
Welcome to the Varsity.
The Varsity can be anything to anyone at anytime. It can be changed to accommodate anyone, and they even specialize in many different types of events as well; especially live music. Special events booked are always in need of live music at the Varsity. The Varsity has become one of the best live music venues in the Midwest with top-notch lighting and sound, to a vibe and ambiance unlike any other in the area.
You may have heard of the Varsity, or even been here for a show. The biggest thing you need to know about the Varsity is that it can be anything to anybody. Just give us a few hours and we can change the Varsity in to something completely different. We do have a few specialties though. Live theater is also wonderful in the Varsity, so spoken word artists and comedians are welcome as well.
Compensation is negotiated after selection. Local draw is not required, but it is recommended with a full capacity of about 450. Local and national touring acts are all welcome to submit.
