Each month, Venus Zine will profile a different Sonicbids artist on venuszine.com, which receives approximately 150,000 unique visitors each month. A female band member is not required to be selected, but is strongly preferred. Additionally, Venus Zine is offering Sonicbids artists a unique opportunity for review or editorial coverage in the magazine. If an artist is good enough, they will be included in the hard copy version of the magazine, too.

Venus Zine covers a wide range of music, and will consider any genre except for death metal, sexist rap, and mainstream country. This means indie rock, hip-hop, experimental, dance and electronic, weird-folk, and pop rock. Artists previously featured in Venus Zine include Sleater-Kinney, Joanna Newsom, Bjork, Sufjan Stevens, Cat Power, Girl Talk, Feist, Andrew Bird, and Bon Iver. We will profile a Sonicbids artist every month on venuszine.com.

Venus Zine is available at Borders, Barnes & Noble, Hastings, Hudson News, Universal News, Chapters, Indigo and independent record and book stores.
