Vexfest 2009 General Performance Consideration

Vexfest VI, brought to you by Youngstown Local Music, is an annual music festival that has been around since 2001. It is known as one of the best music festivals in northeast Ohio with an average attendance of 8,000-10,000 people.



There are 4 stages, 40 bands, all ages, and best of all it's FREE to the public. Music goes from noon until 2am and it takes place on W. Federal St. in downtown Youngstown, OH on August 23, 2009. Sponsored by beer companies, local vendors, and other well known companies. Performers in the past include Mushroomhead, Cyrus, The Zou, Jones For Revival, Asleep, and many others.

Youngstown, Ohio (April 20, 2009) - As certain as the summer sun, VexFest - Mahoning Valley's Musical Staple - is back to shine a mere glimpse of the musical virtuosity that lies within a radius of Downtown Youngstown. For years, VexFest has been the poly-faceted channel by which local, regional, and touring bands could broadcast their frequency to a wide, willing, and actively tuned-in audience.



In typical fashion, this year's show will gaze the genre-gamut of over 40 of the region's you-nique and buzz-fuzzin' acts on multiple stages within the bounds of West Federal Street - which means not a second of dead air. With a primarily heavy rock focus in the past, VexFest 6 will be as eccentric and spontaneous as the citizens who call the Mahoning Valley home. VexFest 6 is slated to grace Downtown Youngstown on Sunday August 23, 2009. The show is FREE to the public.
