Bates College Presents: The Village Club Series - Fall Semester 2007

Bates College is now booking for their Fall Semester (September through December, 2007)

Bates College is proud to present The Village Club Series - a weekly on campus performance series featuring a wide variety of accomplished local and national artists. The Series takes place every Thursday night during the school year in The Benjamin Mays Center, also known as “The Silo.”

The Village Club Series features mostly Acoustic, Folk, Singer/Songwriter and Rock artists whose music is a good fit for college crowds. Bates is interested in artists from the Northeast or artists that are touring through the area. Usually drawing between 100 and 200 people, the Village Club Series is an intimate setting where artists can connect and share their music with old and new fans alike. Artists will be compensated for their performance and provided with lodging and a meal. Lights and a great sound setup, as well as a CD of the show, will be provided to all performing artists. In addition, artists will be given a place to sell their merchandise after the performance.

Past performers include Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers, Matt Nathanson, Edie Carey, Ellis Paul, and many others.
