Village Underground

Village Underground is a creative Music Series based out of Boston, Massachusetts, designed to inspire people to dance to rhythms and beats from various cultures of the world. Self-proclaimed as a traverse to the hip, urban, ultra cool, subterranean music world; each Village Underground event is a non-stop live performance, which merges East-meets-West via a fusion of live music and electronica. Each event features various live acts seamlessly transitioning with DJs, all focused around unique themes. The series incorporates captivating visuals by VJ Bonk, ethnocentric DJ sets by Enrique and Brother Cleve with Hannah Thiem on violin, and tantalizing visual foci in the form of dancers.

Village Underground is now accepting submissions from Sonicbids artists for general performance consideration. The series holds regular performances at The Estate, a 750 person venue in Boston's popular night life strip known as "The Alley". They are looking for bands who will compliment the unique sound, feel and atmosphere of Village Underground performances. Artists should be influenced by genres such as electronic/dance, world music and hip hop. Compensation is offered to performing artists, however all details are negotiated at the time of booking.
