It brings together music industry professionals in a seminar series covering the most relevant phases of the music business. Ten slots are reserved for a Sonicbids artists; however, more may be chosen./n/nThe Vancouver Island Music Business Conference (VIMBC) is a four-day conference that brings together music business professionals from a variety of genres and locations. The event has professional information seminars designed to educate aspiring songwriters, producers, independent recording artists, musicians, managers, promoters etc. on the inner workings
of all sectors of the music business. The conference focus includes: songwriting, producing, arranging, performing, publishing, promoting, copyright, marketing, distribution, radio, music law, management, touring, A&R, record labels, SOCAN, FACTOR and much more.



During the conference, there will be 3 venues showcasing 30 acts of all genres, from bands to singer/songwriters. A PA system and backline will be provided. Two conference pass will be provided to each selected showcase artist/act. There are at least 10 slots are reserved for Sonicbids artists; however, more may be chosen.
