Summary
The Waltz-Astoria is an intimate music venue/wine and coffee bar located in Astoria, Queens; just minutes from Manhattan, NY. The Waltz-Astoria has a listening room with excellent acoustics and a small stage area, as well as seating for 50 audience members. The room has a Steinway Grand Piano for performing artists, but there is no room for drums. The setting is very intimate, so no drums are desired.
Booking takes place 4 6 weeks in advance of the performance in genres such as jazz, classical, acoustic and any other intimate style of music for such a setting. Live music is played 3 4 nights per week, and the venue features local and national touring acts. Set length is usually around 45 minutes with some acts doing two sets. Local draw in not necessary but is suggested as it reflects the negotiated compensation. Sonicbids members are given a top priority during the booking process.
Past performers have included Stephane Wremble, The Veltz Family, Zen Roses, Rick Germanson, The Love and many others.
