Artistic Expressions Stage @ Westerner Days 2011

With a grassroots perspective, Artistic Expressions is a five day event that brings together, but is not limited to, various forms of Alberta's heritage through artwork, music and performing arts. The Artistic Expressions Stage is an indoor stage in Westerner Park presented during Red Deer, Alberta's Westerner Days Fair and Exposition. They have reserved 3 slots for Sonicbids artists to perform a 30 or 60 minute set./n/nWith a grassroots perspective, Artistic Expressions is a five day event that brings together, but is not limited to, various forms of Alberta's heritage through artwork, music and performing arts. The Artistic Expressions Stage is an indoor stage in Westerner Park presented during Red Deer, Alberta's Westerner Days Fair and Exposition. They have reserved 3 slots for Sonicbids artists to perform a 30 or 60 minute set.

In particular, they are seeking mellow, acoustic sounding acts from both Alberta and across Canada. No compensation or travel expenses will be provided, but lodging accommodations may be negotiable. Selected acts will be promoted through various mediums of advertising including website, social media, event guides and onsite signage. A full PA system will be provided, and artists can sell merchandise and keep proceeds. They will not consider rap, hip-hop, metal, hardcore, scremo, or similar genres music.

Emerging artists representing Alberta's exclusive legacy, traditions and values were sought to participate in this event and showcase their artwork in a unique and informative setting. This event features different 'expressions of art' that fosters an appreciation for local artists and the art community. Talent from across North America will be featured as well as music groups and entertainment from Red Deer and surrounding communities.
