West Coast Blues n Roots Festival 2008

The West Coast Blues n Roots Festival is Western Australia’s largest celebration of Blues & Roots music and is the ultimate festival experience. Taking place within the pine trees of the Esplanade Reserve in Fremantle, this annual 2-day musical extravaganza features 3 stages offering live music all day and into the night in front of around 30,000 fans.



The festival attracts high profile international, national and local musicians, and incorporates arts projects, free fringe performances around Fremantle, environmental projects, markets and food stalls from around the globe. The West Coast Blues n Roots Festival has reserved a minimum of 1 performance slot for artists who submit online through Sonicbids!



Around 40 international, interstate and local acts within the Blues & Roots genre will be performing. Previous artists include James Brown, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Bo Diddley, Jackson Browne, Bernard Fanning, The Black Keys, Damian “Jr Gong” Marley, John Mayer, Wolfmother, Eric Burdon, John Butler Trio, Missy Higgins, Pete Murray, The Cat Empire, Angelique Kidjo and many more.



The fifth annual West Coast Blues n Roots Festival will take place on the 15th & 16th March, 2008.
