Summary

The People Rhythm Movement is seeking new acts who want to perform and make money at the same time. They are a new company who has acquired an exclusive contract with The Westwood Brewing Company, a popular bar in Los Angeles located next to the UCLA campus. Their showcases will be held on Friday and Saturday nights, beginning in late March and continuing through the year. Currently, they are looking for all types of talented artists in the genres of hip hop, rap, R&B, soul, and funk. Acts must be 21+.

The Westwood Brewing Company caters to individuals 21+ and has 3 full bars with a fully staffed kitchen. Their prime location gathers a steady draw from the university as well as locals who live and work around this busy area.

Each act will be allowed a 20 minutes set to perform. There will be brief 5 minute intermissions in between sets; more time is available if needed for bands involving equipment. DJ's will have to supply their own equipment. The People Rhythm Movement can supply a PA system, sound engineer, and mics (specific requests may be accommodated if asked in advance). Every act will get a sound check prior to the show. Artists are expected to arrive prepared and on time.

PLEASE NOTE: The People Rhythm Movement will provide every act with both flyers and tickets for their upcoming show. They require is a small pre-established portion of the ticket revenue up front, and the rest is the act’s to keep. Acts generally generate 2-3 times more money than the portion paid to The People Rhythm Movement.
