Summary
The What's Up Lounge, a staple of live music in Mankato for more than three decades, has consistently provided a welcoming stage to musicians from across the country, and around the world. The venue is located in downtown Mankato, MN and features in intimate atmosphere perfect for any style performer.
WhatÂ’s Up Lounge is now accepting submissions from Sonicbids artists for general performance consideration. They are hoping to find artists to fill immediate openings on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Set Lengths range from 30-60 minutes. There is limited backline available at the venue; they have a sound system including mics, monitors, and a sound engineer. All submitting artists should be original, cover bands will not be considered. Booking usually takes place about one month prior to the date of the performance. Compensation is offered for performing artists, but is negotiated at the time of booking. A local draw is not necessary to be booked, but it is preferable. Past performers include American Head Charge, Motion City Soundtrack, Lucky Boys Confusion, Wookiefoot, All Time Low, and P.O.S. This is a great gig for any artists to perform for a passionate audience at a well known venue in Mankato.
