The Opportunity

This legendary nightclub has hosted music's biggest names since it opened its doors in 1964, including The Doors, who were the venue's house band in 1966.

Located in the heart of West Hollywood, we're one of the oldest rock venues in the country. Our stage has seen it all, and from every genre of music, including Rock, Alternative, Blues, and more. With a capacity of 500, The Whisky A Go-Go hosts fans of all ages. 

This is an ongoing opportunity to apply, and we'll find the best date for your band.

This is a great opportunity to build your fan base and your resume by playing one of the most iconic music venues in the world.

The Band

  • Genres accepted include Rock, Alternative, Indie, Pop (Country not preferred)
  • Full bands preferred
  • We prefer bands from United States & Canada
  • Artists must be willing to sell tickets

  • Bands must be actively playing shows 

  • Acts must have a solid online presence 

  • All acts applying must meet the criteria that we look for, lyrics, stage presence, style and artists must have a fanbase

  • Bands are able to sell merch on-site

  • Bands must be willing to heavily promote the show if chosen to play

The Gig

  • One 30-minute set
  • PA, backline mics and a sound engineer will be provided
  • Artists are responsible for bringing their instruments and any other equipment needed

Additional Compensation Details:
  • Artists keep 100% of CD sales and 75% of merch
  • New Artists are given tickets to sell and keep profits once the minimum has been met
  • Payment TBD upon booking
  • Capacity 500+
