Summary
The Wiarton Willie Festival is looking for two opening acts to go on before Sloan on February 2nd, 2013. The annual festival attracts media from around the World. Last year the festival helped launch Walk of the Earth with its Social Media power. They received more then 1.5 million website hits on February 2nd alone. Selected artists will be compensated for travel and will get some great exposure from playing the festival.
Wiarton is the home of Canada's most famous prognosticating groundhog, Wiarton Willie. Each February 2nd, dark and early, towns' folk and fans come out to hear Willie's prediction. Will it be an early spring or six more weeks of winter? This week-long Festival brings in thousands of visitors and draws national and even international attention.
