Summary

The 8th Annual Winter Fest is a day-long regional Celtic, Folk, & World Music Festival being held at the Jensen Center in Amherst, Wisconsin on January 28, 2012. Hosted by the Celtic infusion band Green Tea each year, performers bring an eclectic mix of Celtic music with Folk, World, and other genres and the Fest is looking for at least 1 Soncibids artist who performs any one or more of these genres listed. Artists from all over the Midwest have performed at the festival and the event is open to artists around the World. The festival features music, dance, instrument workshops, craft and food vendors, and much more. Past sponsors have included Stevens Point Brewery, Kindred Spirit Books, Soundworks Systems, the Stevens Point Area Co-op, Curry in a Hurry, and Emy J’s.



Festival history:

Winter Fest has been hosted by Green Tea since its conception in 2005. The festival was born in Stevens Point, WI at the infamous music venue Clark Place. After the closing of Clark Place, the festival moved its location to the Jensen Center in nearby Amherst, WI. The festival continues to grow each year. Previous performers have included: athas, Americay, Ian Gould, Rince na Chroi Irish Dancers, and the O'Dell Irish Dancers.



Sound & lighting production will be provided by the venue. Artists can choose to lead one hour workshops for a small group of participants for further compensation.
