Summary

The Wintersun Festival, located in Port Macquarie, is a celebration of rock n roll, all things Elvis, classic cars and great dancing. Held on June 3rd to 13th, 2011, the festival is looking to book bands and solo artists to perform live at the festival, at one of their 10 free open air stages or 7 clubs and indoor venues. Artists who play rockabilly, swing, rock n roll, retro nostalgia, tribute, original nostalgia music are encouraged to submit their EPK's. Wintersun is Australia’s longest running and largest retro nostalgia festival which runs over 10 days in early June featuring the cars, music and lifestyle of the 1940’s, 50’s & 60’s. Attracting visitors from all over Australia, New Zealand and beyond. Hundreds of rockabilly musicians keep the great raw music alive for free on the street stages and in the pubs and clubs.



Past performers include Wanda Jackson, Bobby Vee, Bobby Rydell, Screaming Lord Sutch, Graham Fenton, Slim Jim Phantom, Darrel Higham, red West, D J Fontana, Stan Perkins, and many, many more. Sponsors for this year's festival include Events NSW and Port Macquarie Hastings Council, plus other commercial sponsors.
