Summary

Western Illinois University enrolls approximately 13,400 students with locations throughout Illinois including Macomb, Moline, and Chicago. The traditional residential campus in Macomb is currently accepting submissions for performance consideration during the 2008/2009 school year. They are seeking music, comedians, and novelty/variety acts, and bring in anywhere from 20-60 acts/programs per semester. A member of NACA, they are interested in both NACA and non-NACA acts.

Western Illinois University is interested in acts for the following:

  • Coffeehouse- Coffeehouse acts perform in the Union Basement Billiards Room. A variety of genres from local, regional, and touring acts are presented, ranging from rapping and poetry to music and stand-up comedy. The coffeehouse venue, which has a capacity of 300, occasionally hosts full bands as well.

  • Large concerts- The school is seeking headlining bands, artists, and comedians with name recognition for large concerts in the Union Grand Ballroom (1,100 person capacity) or the Olson Conference Center (3,000 person capacity).

The school has a full production crew including sound equipment for performances. Selected artists will be compensated for their performances with a negotiable flat fee. Bookings may happen anywhere from less than a month to a whole semester in advance.
