WMMR Philadelphia (August 2009)

93.3 WMMR-fm in Philadelphia, one of America's biggest rock stations and a true brand name in radio, is looking for 15 Sonicbids artists to feature on its online streaming broadcast. WMMR has a longstanding history of supporting local unsigned talent and would like to introduce its listeners to new music by independent artists from all over the world.

A broad range of rock music will be considered for WMMR.com's streaming spotlights and all music submitted will be reviewed by WMMR's programming department.

All 15 selected artists' songs will be played a minimum of 5 times on the streaming station during the month of August.

Online listeners stream over 400,000 hours every month, and over 5,000 listeners have already downloaded the brand new iPhone app to listen on the go. Selected songs will air between the hours of 6am-midnight, and the station will front AND back announce each Sonicbids artist so that listeners can easily identify the song and artist.

WMMR has a 41-year heritage in the city of Philadelphia, playing proven rock artists such as Pearl Jam, Van Halen, and U2, along with plenty of newer artists like Offspring, Weezer, and Kings of Leon.
