Summary
WNJR 91.7 FM's acousticSongs show is seeking at least 10 Sonicbids singer/songwriters, bands, and musicians to perform live in the studio. Selected acts will have their performance video recorded and streamed live to all of our social media pages. We're looking for artists for the summer/fall season.
The Opportunity
The acousticSongs show features artists with original music playing a
stripped down acoustic set. The performance is recorded and live
streamed on several outlets, as well as available on YouTube.
WNJR 91.7 FM is an alternative radio station at Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, just southwest of Pittsburgh. The station features homegrown student and community broadcasting and a wide variety of music from alternative to jazz. WNJR has been broadcasting since 2003 at 1500 watts from the top of the Washington Trust Building, and online at WNJR.org.
The Band
- Must be able to perform a convincing acoustic set without electronics or effects
- Must be willing to travel at own expense to the studio to perform
- Open to singer/songwriters, bands and musicians
- Original music only
The Gig
- Play an acoustic 1-hour set
- Sound equipment provided
- The performance will be recorded and uploaded to our YouTube channel
- The performance will be broadcast on iTunes and Public Radio Exchange (PRX)
- Selected artists will perform a royalty-free performance
- Inclusion in the official press
- May have your song featured on the station's rotation
