For artists, the unique opportunity to perform at WOMEX 14 in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain may well be to the largest group of potential employers they will ever play for. Among its 2,250 delegates in 2013 more than 800 listed themselves as concert and festival bookers. Plus there are international labels, digital and physical distributors, tour agents, journalists and much more.

Around 35 selected artists will perform over 4 official WOMEX stages. The programme selection is done by WOMEX's independent jury consisting of seven well-respected members of the international world music community called the 7 Samurai.

PLEASE NOTE: WOMEX only stages WORLD and WORLD JAZZ artists and Sonicbids is WOMEX's only method of receiving submissions for showcase consideration.

Conditions: WOMEX is not in the position to cover any fees, travel expenses or other costs. So think carefully about financing and let the Jury know what support or funding you have. Invited artists will get FREE access to all parts of WOMEX plus one free registration for the partner of agreement (artist representative). The stage, the necessary equipment to perform, and our special PR treatment on equal basis with all other WOMEX Showcase artists will be provided to all artists.

Whether a submission was successful you can double check in the Dashboard of your Sonicbids account. 

Submission process Step 2: Send 2 CDs of your latest release and Video material via postal mail to the WOMEX office. Proposals need to arrive before the deadline of 18 April (Good Friday) 2014. More details will be available during the submission process.
