Summary
The World Expo has been in existence for 132 years and Shanghai, China, has been designated as the site for the World Expo 2010. The expo will occur from May 1 October 31, 2010. China will use this occasion to bring the world at home, and for the world to feel at home in China. By dedicating a 5.28-square-kilometer area at the core of the city to exhibitions, events and forums on the Expo theme of "Better City, Better Life," Shanghai hopes to build a powerful and lasting pilot example of sustainable and harmonious urban living.
The World Expo Music Committee has teamed up with the Bay Area Blues Society to find 200 artists from the United States to perform at the expo. All genres are accepted and selected artists will have travel and accommodations provided. Artists must have a passport that is valid through November 1, 2011. This is an amazing opportunity for any artist looking to perform on an international level.
