World Music Series - Chicago

Sound Culture, described by the Chicago Tribune as one of “Chicago’s savviest cultural players,” is actively seeking musicians and performance artists for immediate openings for ongoing international music programming. Set lengths vary between 45 and 90 minutes. A local draw is preferred to be booked, but not necessary.

Sound Culture will contact artists for booking at least one month prior to the date of the show. There may be limited backline at the venue – a sound system and a sound person are usually available. We will give you contact information of bands playing with you if you'd like to try to arrange sharing gear.

Genres accepted include: World, African, Latin, Gypsy, Klezmer, and Jazz. Cover bands are not encouraged to submit.

Selected artists will be compensated for their performances according to negotiation.
