Music City Roots: 1st Annual WORLD ROOTS Edition (extended)

In the true spirit of a global platform, Music City Roots, which matches emerging artists with headliners like Emmylou Harris, Nanci Griffith, & Sam Bush, is putting on their 1st Annual World Roots showcase. At least one Sonicbids artist will be chosen to perform, where the broadcast will be vigorously promoted over multiple media outlets./n/nMusic City Roots is committed to providing a world-wide platform for great music to be discovered and enjoyed. Selected emerging artists are given the opportunity to play live on the same bill with some of the world’s finest musicians, with their performance promoted and broadcast to a global audience. In the true spirit of a global platform, the 1st Annual WORLD ROOTS Edition will be presented from the event barn behind the famous Loveless Cafe, with top-notch audio and video production. Emerging artists play a 10-minute segment, and are also invited to participate in an end of show jam.

At least one Sonicbids artist will be chosen to perform at the show. The broadcast is vigorously promoted over multiple media outlets, generating enormous publicity. Selected artists can expect:

• 25% of the gate for regular segment performance, or $100 for the emerging artist segment.
  
• Hotel accommodations.
  
• Three meals the day of the show.
  
• A good sound-check and a great performance environment.
  
• 100% of individual merch sales at venue.
  
• Use of promotional video from the performance for websites and social media.
  
• Promotional use of professional photography from performance.
  
• Press and media opportunities.

Media Support:

• Inclusion in a minimum of 20 recorded promotional announcements on Lightning 100 radio.
  
• Photo and bio at MusicCityRoots.com, including links to all web, social and digital distribution.
  
• Current album and upcoming appearances to be plugged by MCR host on show night.
  
• Inclusion in other show promotions: web banners, TV, newspaper and magazine ads, handbills and posters.
  
• Consideration for inclusion in the Music City Roots weekly audio and video podcast.
  
• A mention in their weekly email blast to thousands around the world.

The vision of the show’s producers is to shine a light on quality music of all kinds from all around the world. While the mission of the show is to break down walls of "genres" and "categories," the general theme of this particular showcase is to feature world roots music, especially when there is a connection to the origins of the music born in the Americana culture.

Last season, Sonicbids band Harpeth Rising was chosen to perform live at the popular American culture edition of Music City Roots. .
