WSM Live From The Capitol Theatre is selecting Sonicbids artists to play the Bates Ford Talent Search semifinals.
The Opportunity
The Bates Ford Talent Search is a performance competition. 30 Contestants selected from the April 25 - May 8 submission period will perform live at the Capitol Theatre in Lebanon, TN on May 21st. Contestants must perform a classic country cover song selected from an approved list of music. A house band will be provided to accompany ALL contestants during this round. Judges will narrow down the contestants to the top 12.
The top 12 contestants will perform original music live at the Capitol Theatre on June 25th.
The Band
- Classic country cover songs
- Must be age 18+ to perform
- Must have family-friendly music, no profanity, etc.
The Gig
Details:
- This two-hour matinee program will air live from 1-3 PM/CT. The show will also broadcast live at 650 AM, WSMonline.com, and a free mobile app
- Contestants will be judged based on appearance, stage presence, vocal ability, & audience appeal
- 1 winner will open for the Oak Ridge Boys at the Wilson Country Fair on August 23rd
- 1 winner will open for Darryl Worley at the Capitol Theatre on July 9th
- 2 winners will perform on the Fiddlers Grove Opry stage at the Wilson County Fair on August 22nd
