WSXS Festival - The Storm Before the Storm! - Houston, TX

In preparation for SXSW 2011, Rocket Jet Productions is hosting a music festival, WSXS, at the The Groundhall and Jet Lounge, March 12, 2011 in Houston, TX. Held as a lead in party for SXSW, this showcase will bring all the flavor of the festival from Austin to Houston. It is looking for bands (especially those on their way to SXSW) to perform live at one of the two venues. Local, regional and touring artists will be compensated with a flat guarantee. Accepted genres include rock, indie rock, alternative and other genres. Artists must be able to draw at least 50 people to see them perform. Artists can keep 100% of their merchandise sales, and travel/accommodation expenses may be negotiated with the promoter upon confirmation.



Already, Ozeal has been confirmed to play at WSXS. The venue will provide a sound system, lights and a sound engineer. Artists are responsible for bringing their instruments, and possibly their own backline (TBD). 1 of the stages will be outside, so artists should be ready to play in mixed weather.
