X&Y Fest 2009

Driven Productions, Inc. is proud to present the second annual X&Y Fest on Saturday, September 26th and Sunday September 27th, 2009 from 2:00 - 10PM at The Talent Farm in Pembroke Pines, Florida. This is the premier music festival for Generations X&Y, featuring 20 bands over 2 days./n/nDriven Productions, Inc. is proud to present the second annual X&Y Fest on Saturday, September 26th and Sunday September 27th, 2009 from 2:00 - 10PM at The Talent Farm in Pembroke Pines, Florida. This is the premier music festival for Generations X&Y, featuring 20 bands over 2 days – Gen X on Saturday and Gen Y on Sunday.



This festival will bring together 2 generations over 2 great days of music. All genres will be considered, and solo artists, duos, and groups are all encouraged to apply.



Why perform at X&Y Fest? Bands receive a chance at their share of $1,000 in prize money, are presented well by a professional stage and sound situation, receive space to sell merch and have the option of having their promotional item (such as a sampler CD, sticker, show flyer, etc.) distributed to all that attend.



The $1,000 in prize money will be split between the best Gen X band and the best Gen Y band at the festival. Winners will be partially determined by the crowd through votes taken at the festival. Votes placed by crowd members will influence the X&Y Fest staff's final decision.



One criteria for being picked to perform is bands must be able to pre-sell 20 discount tickets to the festival. However, they will not be required to buy what is left of the 20. A band should either be confident they can pre-sell 20 tickets or that they can purchase some or all of them themselves to give away (or sell) to fans, family and friends. If a band happens to fall short of 20 tickets pre-sold, then at 5 pre-sold, the band can have a promotional item (such as a sampler CD, sticker, show flyer, etc.) provided by the band (and approved by the X&Y Fest staff) distributed at the festival. At 10 pre-sold, the band can have an approved promotional item distributed and also set up a merch table at the festival.



Compensation: Selected artists will receive $5 for each ticket sold over 20 tickets in total, whether by pre-sale or walk-up day-of. When a ticket is pre-sold or purchased day-of, the person purchasing the ticket will designate which band they are going to the festival to see perform, allowing that band to receive credit for the ticket purchase.
