Zakk's, located in the historic college town of Murfreesboro, is the home of original music in Eastern NC and Southern VA for the past 17 years. They are looking to bring in national talent to perform at Zakk's, as well as play on local/regional showcases and work with their agency JCR Entertainment for other bookings. They are looking for bands who realize the realities and limitations of the original music business and who will work dependably with them to produce the highest quality concerts with the best artists in their genre. Artists should understand they must create their own draw and meet requirements to get any pay. They are paid according to how much and what sort of business they bring to the venue and event. They are looking for artists professional enough to know how to do successful promoting and that can at least build up a draw in time by working closely with the venue staff and customers and who will be pleasant to work with.

Previous performers include from RA, to LA Guns, My Children My Bride, Primer 55, FLAW, Godsmack, HedPE, System Of A Down, Spineshank, Silent Civilian, Nantucket, Bulletboys and members of many famous and grammy winning bands such as Evanescence, White Zombie, Future Leaders of The World, Rehab, Alice Cooper, Eric Clapton, Blackfoot, Slayer, Quiet Riot, Parliament Funkadelic, AC/DC, KIX, Megadeth and many many more over 17 years. Most sets are of original music and last from 30 to 45 min. All sound and lighting is provided along with a house engineer at no cost to performers.
