Free Hat
Free Hat is an Atlanta-based progressive-jamtronica project founded by Jonathan Zalzman and Hari Krishnam as students at Georgia Tech. Free Hat has a rotating cast of members and currently consists of:
Jonathan Zalzman (Guitar, Production)
Jonathan Zalzman has been committed to playing guitar from the age of 13 after being blown away by Buckethead at The Masquerade in Atlanta, GA. By 17, he found success at his school's talent show and discovered his knack for shredding hard and melting faces which continues to this day. As co-founder, leader, and sole consistent member of Free Hat, Jonathan has focused on honing his playing with a focus on technicality, speed, and precision while maintaining a sense for groove and soaring melodies. With influences such as Steve Vai, Jake Cinninger, and Hunter Brown, Jonathan's talents traverse multiple styles from Jamtronica to Jazz Fusion to Shred Metal. He brings a feel-good vibe to any room he plays and is guaranteed to blow away the audience with impeccable guitar solos.
