"Gary Floyd Enchants at Stone Street Theatre"

Gary Floyd's performance at Stone Street Theatre was incandescent. He has a ready smile and easy charm that radiates out into the audience. His singing voice is strong, clear, and pure. When he plays the piano, it is with love and tender care and the instrument responds in kind to produce beautiful melodious notes. Watching Mr. Floyd perform is to experience total ecstasy. The songs he performed came from a variety of genres - country, adult contemporary, gospel - some of which he had penned himself. The songs flowed easily from one to the next. His jokes about his career were genuinely funny and increased the bond between him and his listeners. If you have only experienced Gary Floyd in musical theatre, you owe it to yourself to experience his vocal and musical skills in a more intimate setting. - broadwayworld.com by Joseph Melnicoff

"Pumpboys & Dinettes"

Gary Floyd, a prolific recording artist in his first theatrical role, does double duty as music director and the piano-playing nerd who attracts all the women without quite knowing why. He's a natural. - Dallas Morning News

"Altar Piece : "King David""

Lots of performers become an overnight success. Gary Floyd became king in a day, "King David", that is - and one of the big men on the Dallas theater scene.
Mr. Floyd, who makes a living as a singer and instrumentalist making recordings and doing corporate events, hadn't done theater since high school. When his friend M. Denise Lee persuaded him to try it again, he doubled as performer and music director for Contemporary Theatre of Dallas' "Pump Boys and Dinettes". Mr. Floyd displayed comic talent and shy sex appeal, along with his musical chops and nabbed the 2004 Leon Rabin Award for best supporting actor in a musical. - Dallas Morning News - Lawson Taitte

"Grey Gardens"

One of the show's true standouts is Gary Floyd as George Gould Strong. He is remarkably handsome and his singing voice could melt the hardest of hearts. He is stellar as the gay beau of Edith Bouvier Beale. - EdgeDallas.com
