DeAndre Spruill, known professionally as "Gemini," has been making waves in the music industry with a story that reads like a testament to resilience and the power of transformation. Raised in Southern California in a single-parent household, Gemini's early life was shaped by his mother's tireless work ethic and the spiritual guidance of his grandmother. Despite the challenges of growing up in a tough environment and the distractions that often led him astray, Gemini's passion for music was ignited after witnessing a performance by Kanye West, setting him on a path towards his true calling. Although initially his pursuit of music was a journey filled with personal trials, including navigating the complexities of young fatherhood, the loss of his grandmother and uncle served as a pivotal moment, sharpening his focus and dedication to his craft.
Relocating to Las Vegas to officially kickstart his music career, Gemini quickly began to make his mark. His debut single "6AM" caught the attention of event coordinators in the city, leading to his first performance and setting the stage for his ascent in the music scene. Despite early setbacks, including a potential collaboration with The Game derailed by legal issues, Gemini's unwavering commitment to his art has seen him gain recognition from record labels and influencers alike. - Born and raised in Southern California DeAndre Spruill AKA “Gemini” always had a taste and deep love for music. Growing up in a single parent home, Gemini was raised by his mother Muriel Salcido, who at times wasn’t able to be fully present due to her working 2 jobs. And at times 3. He is one out of 3 siblings. He was brought up as a jehovah witness and attended church every Sunday with his grandmother the late Marian Davis, which sometimes made it hard for him to focus on his music . Although he meant well Gemini often found himself in trouble or with the wrong crowds which often lead to him getting in trouble. One day after watching a performance by Kanye west . Gemini decided and knew from there his passion would be music. He began writing songs and would recite them at school with his friends, as well as talent campaigns. Once turning 18, and graduating highschool Gemini started pursuing music , although not serious about it at the time he was still developing his craft and eventually? With the help of his former friend (another artist we will not name) he began contacting studios and started recording. Still not as serious as needed be he would find himself in trouble while dating different women, and eventually having a daughter. After having his daughter Gemini started realizing what really matters , and what needs to be done. The final crossing point for him was the passing of not only his grandmother, but his uncle Tony Caesar, who at times was the only father figure he had. He lost both relatives within a 2 month time frame, and after that he became nothing but serious. He left his native home of California and moved to Las Vegas Nevada where he began his official music journey, meeting different artist, media outlets, and performance venues. Gemini started recording and his first Single “6AM” caught the attention of the Michael Harris, a event coordinator who held mini open mics at the Luxor hotel in Las Vegas. He asked Gemini to come and debut his song for a small under the table fee and it was show time. “If I can get that show I can get others “ he thought and began making a name for himself as well as his own lane. He vowed to never go back to his regular 9-5 job seeing as nothing but a distraction and jumped full on board the music wave and eventually? Caught the attention of well known names like Jayceon Taylor or known as “The Game”. Due to the Game’s legal troubles at the time the partnership wasn’t able to continue but this didn’t stop Gemini and he began branching out even further and started gaining attention of record labels as well as other influencers. Step by step, Gemini slowly began his rise for the top. Some of his biggest motivations are Kanye west, Drake, Joe Rogan, and hit video game series creator “Kingdom Hearts” Tetsuya Nomura.
