Bio
My real name is Benjamin Allingham, taking the stage name I.M.Purity to signify both sides of my life; the impure and pure.
Growing up in Ottawa I surrounded myself with music from a very young age. I began writing lyrics in a journal at the age of fifteen to help escape from my stress and nerves. After high school I moved to Halifax to pursue my passion for teaching others at The University of Kings college and there is where I began rapping publicity.
One night when I was sitting with a friend who was making beats at the time and for fun I began writing lyrics too it and eventually started rapping. My friend told me I was pretty good and so with that beat I released my first song on SoundCloud (which has since been deleted). This began the chain that led me to releasing my first album on January 12, 2019 titled "Sip'N'Slide".
Since that album release i have moved back to Ottawa to pursue my new found passion for music and will be attending the Music Industry Arts program at Algonquin while recording and producing my newest project titled isolation.
