"Boomerang SINGLE 2016"

Jersey City native Jay Saint unwraps the new single "Boomerang," a cut from his upcoming EP, DrangonFLY, produced by Hitstory Music Group.

"Work hard, Feel Good," expressed Jay, when asked what his brand stands for. - DJ JusMusic

"Jay Saint - Fade"

In the ever-moving music industry, there is always a steady stream of new talent that is ready and waiting to be discovered. It’s great for your friends here at The DJBooth, but if you are an artist you essentially have to release quality material at a pretty quick clip or you risk getting lost in the hyper-shuffle. Presenting an alternative theory is unsigned singer Jay Saint. Although his last feature on our digital pages was just a little less than two years ago, Saint proves that no matter how long he stays away, great talent doesn't Fade. On his latest single the Jersey native's fiery, heartfelt vocals show no rust. Atop the clouded, shimmering work of German producer Roman Bender, Saint croons a tale about a relationship that looks to be on it’s last legs. What separates Fade from the standard affair break-up cut, however, is the passion and emotion in Saint’s voice; you actually believe he is going through this emotional turmoil, which makes listeners invested in the outcome. Luckily, we won't have to wait another two years, as Jay’s DragonFLY tape is due out in the fall. - Lucas Garrison

"Jay Saint - Good Feeling"

You know those days when you're on top of the world, and it feels like nothing in the world could put a damper on your f*cking fantastic mood? Booth newcomer Jay Saint is having one of 'em and, on the current single off his latest full-length, he thoughtfully shares those good vibes with the rest of the world. This infectious, Secret Sounds-produced selection is just the beginning of the bubblegum-pop goodness to be found on the Jersey City crooner's Amour Et La Guerre (Love and War) LP, available now online. - Richard Spandine

Bio

Refreshing, new, energetic, determined, dope and edgy; these are the words that Jay’s peers use to describe his persona, ambition and, most importantly, his music. While seldom seen, every once in a while you come across a young artist that has the vocals, passion, creativity and to take their music to the next level. Jay Saint is among that elite group of individuals.

Life, growing up, was challenging for Jay, both personally and financially. “My heart continuously pulled me in a direction that conflicted with my means of living. My dreams were not realistic because realistically we had no money. ” Jay Saint recalls. However, as a child, Jay’s parents, with customs and values originating from their Haitian & Dominican backgrounds, kept their son’s mind focused on academics and athletics, first and foremost. This steadfast allowed him the resilience to fight against the struggle and remain focused on the bigger picture. Eventually, Jay Saint paid and paved his own way through college, receiving a full scholarship to play football for Elizabeth City State University, where he went on to receive a degree in Sociology. This was only the beginning. Jay Saint, who had been writing music since he was a young boy, had a different calling; Music!

In early 2009, at the young age of 21, the doors began to open for this driven and aspiring musician. He was noticed by an A&R from Bad Boy Records, which afforded him the ability to write for some of Bad Boy's most elite and active up and coming acts, such as Danity Kane, Day 26 and Donnie Klang. After writing for a full year with the label, Jay eventually decided to branch off and begin building his own brand as an artist. "Vulnerability and Love," expressed Jay, when asked what his brand stands for. Jay Saint shows a consistency in style, performance and all around talent, which is a mark of a true recording and performing artist. Yes, the kid can dance as well! His music catches your attention and refuses to let it go. His beats, production, rhythm and his fresh new tone will keep you captivated from start to finish. Jay’s alternative style and R&B, combined with his unique “Island” tone, is refreshing and exactly what the industry needs. Greatness is in reach and, ladies and gentlemen, I’d say he’s got a “Good Feeling.”
