Jukehouse Shakedown

A great moment of trémousserie savaticide that listening Second installment of "power duo " of Georgia. Yeah are two , that you not believe you swinging Derche , total trance ... This is the music produced by two brothers (well half-brother, let's be specific ) is not music in all the world . They managed to make a mix of Hill Country and Blues Juke Joint Z'allez ..... tell me that it's a bit like when I want good but ...... Okay ! But .... Perhaps, yes if you want .....
Good! Enough! We will not quibble and I repeat that their music is total and even if their original inspiration arrives in Burnside and Kimbrough , they put a good dose of Black Keys and John Spencer in the sauce without forgetting a touch of Muddy Water and Blind Willie Johnson , all worked on the slide and finger picking , sung or narrated in a calm voice , the total controlled soulful and rhythmic primitive battery, hypnotic and energetic pounding . A good dirty blues sound , and this is the original , perfectly clear and unique that use of any artifice which comes straight from vintage stuff, music that upon arrival you file a monstrous banana the San guysade irrepressible .
The crew is not without a certain originality , John Sosebee occupies its feet on a bass drum and a snare and his hands on his guitar while singing his own lyrics , yeah it was he who wrote the ten tunes , the half- brother , Jacob Gise , dealing with feet cymbals and bass with hands .... You can drink their quiet beer is nothing more available to help yourself ....
Both gas are deeply rooted in the blues , traditional worked their sauce, nothing revolutionary just Americana nearest origins music .
A large slice of régalade and two awesome talented musicians.

"review from MountainFreak.com"

"Sosebee says that he first heard Jimi Hendrix at age 14 and decided then he wanted to play the guitar for a living. John has reached back into the roots of Hendrix and countless others to the native American blues of Muddy Waters and Robert Johnson in his show I recently took in at Wylie's in Dahlonega. The Jasper, Georgia native puts on a good show of delta based blues. He combines excellent finger picking and slide work with a voice made for singing the blues. This isn't "blues fusion" or some modern take on old standards, this is American music at it's very core." - MountainFreak.com

"Article "Duo Brings Back Old Style Blues""

The hill country blues sound that the band creates is unique and elicits the urge to dance along with a cold beer in hand. Perhaps it is the almost trance-like drum beat that inspires show-goers to move to the music. Whatever the reason, Sosebee is pleased when his music gets that response. "All blues music is dance music- it's a synergy of several different, more primitive forms of music," said Sosebee. "We never play the same show twice," Gise said. - from UGA Red and Black newspaper by EVA VASQUEZ

Original Southern Juke Joint Blues!

The John Sosebee Band is a one-of-a-kind, original, Juke Joint style Blues band that never fails to provide powerful, down-'n'-dirty beats all night long. No matter where he's playing (in a bar for locals or on a stage for thousands) Sosebee always gets the crowd up and out of their seats and onto the dance floor. Delivering sensational slide guitar work, deep and soulful vocals, and his unique acrobatic multi-instrumental talent, he is able to defy the norm in an innovative and unprecedented way that always has the audience wanting more.

The sound is often compared to The Black Keys, R.L. Burnside, and The North Mississippi Allstars, although they feature one of the most unique setups you'll ever see or hear from any band.

Able to get even the largest crowds havin' the time of their lives, and with experience at some of the South's largest clubs and Blues festivals, The John Sosebee Band NEVER disappoints with incredible performances. Sosebee has opened for or played with famous performers such as: Col. Bruce Hampton, Delbert McClinton, Cedric Burnside and Lightin' Malcom, and has performed at many of the top festivals and venues across the country.
