Josie James, age 18, said that everyone at match records has been supportive of her journey since joining the program.
Her set for the showcase included covers by two of her favorite artists: “Gravity” by John Mayer and “Cherry” by Amy Winehouse.
She is currently working on a music video for her biggest song “Gym Rat” as it recently hit 17,000 streams.

Bio
Josie James is an alternative/R&B artist hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. She plays both solo singer/songwriter, and with her band. Her percussive guitar techniques allow her to play with a full sound just with vocals and guitar. Her sound is inspired by the unique vocals of Amy Winehouse and Nora Jones, and the full bodied guitar playing of John Mayer and Dave Matthews. Josie’s goal is to create community with her music and to travel for shows while sharing her goofy songs for all to hear.
